Commercial brick slip installation

City Island, London

We have been in great demand on commercial jobs completing work on City Island in London and Iver station in Buckinghamshire to name a few. Our talented fitters are well qualified and fully insured.

What are brick slips?

We have a wide range of experience of installing internal and external brick slips. Customers love our attention to details and our talented team use a freehand approach to installation designing careful plans and then implementing them with great care.

Brick slips in general are real bricks cut down into tiles.

  • They are usually 20mm thick (whereas a brick is 100mm thick).

They are essentially decorative brick tiles that can totally transform the look of your property, inside and out. There are hundreds of different designs to fit any look you may be wanting to achieve, whether it’s in your kitchen, your fireplace or the bay window outside, there will be a brick slip or stone panel to fit in with your personal preferences.

We offer experience in all types of brick slip installation, from commercial types of systems, such as our work at City Island, Cannon Street, Twickenham Station, and Mill Hill East tube stations in London, to the more traditional free hand method more akin to traditional bricklaying, as seen at many of our residential projects on the south coast.

Brick slips require no maintenance once installed (unlike rendered walls) and for your peace of mind, we offer a 10 year guarantee to all our customers on works we’ve undertaken.

Please feel free to contact us, we are happy to help with any enquiry.

What is pointing?

Whether the brick slip is used with an exterior wall insulation system or applied like a wall tile (as seen above), they need to be pointed in a traditional way to protect the structure in question. This is carried out by pointing between the brick slips.

For these type of applications, as well as with bricklaying, we prefer to use the gun injection method, which we find more accurate and efficient. We provide all types of pointing finishes, from your standard ‘bucket handle’ to more advanced weather pointing, for those more exposed brick faces.

Stunning finishes can be achieved using brick slips and gun injection pointing and we are experts in their application and general use, as we’re always to be found at the forefront of new building tech and methodologies.

Each platform was relayed and repointed, a bespoke weather point applied to the slate to aid water runoff and minimise absorption.
